It will help guide you through the basic questionsLightweight and Umbrella Strollers (under 12 lbs)
These strollers may or may not accommodate your infant carrier/car seat, however, most do not. Many lightweight strollers have a partial to no recline, and are best suited for children aged 6+ months. A good guide to these strollers would be when you child can sit up alone and has steady head control. These are commonly referred to as "umbrella strollers".Find, Compare and Buy a Lightweight Umbrella Stroller
Standard Strollers (12+ lbs):
These strollers may or may not work with an infant car seat/carrier. If not, many of them have a full recline, allowing even the smallest baby to be comfortable in it. This type of stroller normally pushes with more ease and the seats are wider and more padded. These strollers are heavier, making them more bulky than some of the others.Find, Compare and Buy a Standard Stroller
Jogging Stroller/All-Terrain:
These strollers are perfect for active families. They are great for the mom or dad who enjoys walking or running on a regular basis. They may or may not accommodate your infant carrier/car seat. Many do not recline fully, however, some of the more recent ones do. These strollers will normally have rubber tires, instead of the common standard strollers with plastic wheels. These are 3-wheeled strollers. They allow more movement with ease on pavement, grass, sidewalks, and bumps than most standard or lightweight strollers. The front wheel may be fixed or swivel and some will adjust according to your specific needs.Find, Compare and Buy a Jogger Stroller
Universal Car Seat Frame:

Car Seat & Stroller Combos (Travel Systems):
These are the strollers of convenience. They are usually sold as sets that will include the infant car seat, a stay in the car base, and the stroller with a child weight limit of 40-45 pounds or 4 years old. These set usually have matching fabric on the car seat and the stroller. They tend to be much heavier and fold less compactly. They may have a one or two hand fold.Find, Compare and Buy a Travel System
Multi-Child Strollers (Doubles, Triples, and more):
These strollers are used when you have twins, triplets, or more, or when you have multiple children close in age. They may come in lightweight, standard and All-Terrain/Jogger. Most of these have the ability to accommodate as many infant car seats as needed. There are two types of multiple strollers. There is the side by side (sometimes referred to as SBS). This will allow children to sit next to one another. These are normally wider and may prove more difficult for maneuvering through doorway and aisles. Then there is the Tandem style stroller (front/back). This type is normally much thinner and more convenient for shopping where there may be small aisles. These strollers are normally bulky and heavy. Each seat has it's own individual recline adjustment and child snack tray when available.Find, Compare and Buy a Multi seat Stroller
Carriage / Prams:
These are normally used for the newborn up to about 3-4 months. They are "bed" type strollers on a chassis. These do not normally break down to a folding position. These strollers have 4 (normally then) fixed wheels and are used for park strolling. Not a practical stroller for everyday use and quick shopping trips.Find, Compare and Buy a Carriage / Pram
