An interesting fact is that original Turkish towels were thin sheet-like towels used in the Turkish baths. They were much more like linen than the fluffy towels we know today. They were not very luxurious by our standards. Today's Turkish towels are traditional uncut looped pile terry towels that come from Turkey. Turkey is legendary worldwide for its towels of extraordinary thickness and absorbency.

What material are Turkish towels make from?

Turkish towels are made from pure cotton. Cotton's quality is based on the length of its staple or fiber . The longer the staples the stronger, more absorbent, more durable and luxurious the towel will be. Turkish towels are made from the highest quality cotton.

Nothing feels better on a cold morning than to step out of the shower, reach for the towel bar and lift off a luxurious Turkish bath towel , and wrap yourself in softness. Although bath towels are the most commonly known, there are several standard sizes of towels. Note, however, that manufacturers may vary their towel size specifications slightly. For instance, bath towels can come in a range of sizes and not all towel lines carry all sizes.
