A red jacket conveys, "Look at me, I am energetic and I want to get to know you." A blue jacket may give the impression you are by nature calm and relaxed. Taking into account the effect of color on our mood personally and as a society, colorists create fabric colors up to two years before clothing is sold to the public.
If you are sporting a Boston Red Sox jacket, well, that says something about you too – "You are optimistic, and will eventually be rewarded for your loyalty!" A Columbus Blue Jackets or Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets topper will express your interest in hockey or college basketball (who would have guessed?) - But what does a red, blue or yellow jacket say about you when it isn't associated with a sports team?
Red
Red is not a hesitant color. Color theorists might say red is attention-getting like a red light, a red stop sign, or red racing stripes. Red is also associated with love as in red hearts on Valentine's Day or red roses. So if you are feeling romantic you might choose to wear a red leather bomber jacket or frilly red bed jacket.The internet is full of red jackets of all kinds. There are red denim barn jackets with pointed collars and patch pockets and button fronts, and red corduroy or cotton twill too. There are red snakeskin jackets and red motorcycle-style short leather jackets. Red wool boucle jackets or red wool blazers or quilted, belted, cropped designer jackets in red satin with gold and jewel closures are all out there. There are cinch-waisted, flap-fronted, hooded and fur-lined red jackets. If you're feeling powerful and decisive, head to the rack with the red jackets!
Yellow
Yellow is a warm color, symbolizing friendship and remembrance. Yellow can have less pleasant connotations, but in clothing, the most important thing about yellow is to make sure it doesn't wash out your complexion when worn against your face.In fashion, the classic yellow garment is the bright yellow vinyl rain jacket and soft yellow raincoats. Yellow is a color related to optimism and sunshine and warmth, so maybe that is why it is used for raincoats - to maintain a cheery attitude even when it's dreary outside.
Blue Jackets
Blue is the color of wisdom and truth, trust and loyalty. This color has a calming effect and slows metabolism. Some also considers blue masculine, and is the color linked with power, intellect, and stability.Men and women often choose blue suit jackets for business. Men choose navy blue much more than women as a staple for their wardrobes. There are classic navy windbreakers, hooded short jackets, navy leather, dark blue denim, navy-checked wool coats and corduroy, school blazer jackets and hooded waist length jackets.
