Velour robes have become as popular for women as they have for men. Not your traditional terry cloth , velour adds a richness to the everyday robe. Where did velour come from? " Velours " is the French word for velvet. It can be made from any of several fabrics, but is identifiable by its pile or napped surface resembling velvet.
