Timberland Clogs - Not just a work boot

Manufacturing work boots is not the only shoe that is made by Timberland, they also make a line of clogs. Timberland's story starts in Boston, Massachusetts in the year 1918. A young man by the name of Nathan Swartz learned to craft fine leather boots by hand. He learned the processes of cutting leather, stitching the pieces together, and applying the soles.

In 1952 he bought ½ of the Abington Shoe Company and worked for 3 years with them until he could afford to buy the other half. Once he bought the other half he introduced his sons into the company.

In the 1960s the Swartz family revolutionized footwear by developing the first truly waterproof boot. This was done through injection molding technology that fused the sole to the upper without needing stitching.

Clogs

In 1973 the Timberland name was given to these boots, but because they were so popular and the name stuck with the public the company decided to change its' name to Timberland. In 1978 they started manufacturing more styles of shoes including boat shoes and other casual shoes.
Today Timberland manufactures clothing, clogs, boots, slippers, loafers, and more. Timberland's clogs are known for their long lasting life span, their durability, and their comfort characteristics.

Timberland clogs consist of 2 men's styles the El Dorado and the Moped. Both of these clogs are available in several color options. The women's line of clogs offers 6 or more pairs to choose from. These include the Meredith Litchfield, the Portese, and the Spokane.

You will find that Timberland clogs are appropriate in the office or for casual wear. You will not be disappointed with your Timberland clogs should you find a pair.
