Things to Remember About Your Topsy Turvy
Gravity helps water drain from the bag and down your tomato plant. This does not benefit the plant. Only add enough water to soak the potting soil. Use a mister to spray off the leaves and stalk after the water stops dripping out of the bag.
Due to the smaller size of the bag, you should water your plants daily. In hot weather, you may need to increase this two twice a day. The plant will not thrive without frequent watering.
Check for insect pests like tomato hornworms periodically. They destroy plants in days, so if you find them, remove them and check your plant for any eggs.
Hang your Topsy Turvy upside down tomato garden planter out of direct wind. In strong winds, the bags can blow off your hook or nail and split when they hit the ground
