Replacement Intex Filter Cartridges - Easy Set Above Ground Swimming Pools
Intex filter cartridges fit within the above ground pool pump to capture small particles. Intex pool filters pump water anywhere from 300 gallons to 4,000 gallons per hour. The water within your pool should circulate the water in your above ground swimming pool hourly to remove insects, hair and other debris.Find, Compare, and Buy Above Grounds Pools - Garden and Outdoor Decor
Construction of an Intex Filter Cartridge
Intex filter cartridges add layers of Dacron material around a plastic frame. The Dacron captures small particles like dirt, pollen, grass, sand and insects. Only clean water returns into the pool.
While Intex recommends replacing your filter cartridge every two weeks, most above ground pool owners find that rinsing your cartridge with hose water every week extends the life of a cartridge to a month. Unplugging the filter during the night and covering your pool when not in use also helps by keeping troublesome particles out of the water.
Intex Filter Cartridge Sizes
Three cartridge sizes work with the Intex pool filters. They include:
- SF-3
- Type A
- Type BSF-3 above ground Intex pool filter cartridges only fit the smallest 300 gph filter pump. This filter cartridge is used in the small Easy Set Pool system. Find them online at www.intexstore.com or department stores that sell Easy Set Pools.
The next size up is the Type A Intex pool filter cartridges. They fit into medium filter pump systems. Many of the Easy Set Pool and metal frame above ground pool systems use Type A. You will find them online or in department stores like Wal-Mart or K-Mart.
Larger Type B Intex pool filter cartridges work with both chlorine and saltwater pool systems. They fit larger pools, such as the Round Ultra, Oval Frame and Rectangular Ultra Frame swimming pools.
Save Money Buying Intex Filter Cartridges
Wal-Mart, K-Mart and even Costco usually carry Intex swimming pools and accessories. Check the prices, however. Sometimes Intex filter cartridges cost more in these stores than when purchased online, even when you add shipping costs. In addition, many online stores offer shipping deals and incredible discounts.
Purchase your Intex filter cartridges in bulk packages and save money. While these above ground swimming pool cartridges are very affordable, purchasing by the six-pack boosts savings. In sites like Amazon, a six-pack of B filters costs under $40 instead of the retail price of $10 each.
