Intex Liner Repair Kits Get the Job Done
If you develop a small hole or tear in your Easy Set or Metal Frame liner, dry the liner out completely. The liner repair kit includes a section of liner. Cut a piece that completely covers your hole or tear and then apply the adhesive. Press the patch firmly and allow it to dry overnight before refilling your pool.
You can also use an Intex liner repair kit for the inflatable ring if a small hole develops.
Replacing an Intex Pool Liner
When a rip or hole is too large for patching, the entire liner requires replacing. Intex pool liners make replacement easy. A liner replacement allows you to save money and sets up the exact same way as your first pool liner.
An Intex pool liner includes the entire liner, but not the filter pump, ladder or other accessories. Drain your existing pool and move the filter pump to the new liner.
Metal Frame, Easy Set and Ultra pool lines offer replacement pool liners. When ordering, double-check that you are ordering the correct dimensions. While it may seem easy to upgrade to a larger Easy Set pool, the filter pump you own may not be strong enough for the larger swimming pool.
Tips to Extend the Life of your Liner
Prevent damage to your liner by doing periodic inspections of the surrounding area. Sharp objects like branches, sticks and toys may cause punctures. Keep all sharp objects away from the pool area.
Maintain proper chemical levels. Excessive chlorine damages liners.
Place a tarp below your Intex pool liner to prevent tough weeds like crabgrass from growing into the liner.
Before setting up your swimming pool, ensure there are no rocks on the surface of the ground. If you use a cement patio area, make sure you lift the Intex pool liner rather than drag it into place.
