Choosing the Site for the Swimming Pool

Your new Intex above ground swimming pool requires a level area. This may require the use of patio blocks or pressure-treated lumber to ensure every edge of the pool is level. Use a yard-long level and make sure the pool is even before filling it with water.

\Remove all sharp objects like sticks, rocks and branches. Place the ground tarp, included with the pool kit, over the area where you plan to set up your pool.

Setting Up the Intex Ultra Swimming Pool Frame

You need a partner to help you assemble any rectangular frame pool. Watch the DVD before you start to get a general idea of what you need to do.

Start on one end and snap the corners of the rectangular frame pool together. Continue by adding the beams and then the support legs. Take care while sliding the support framing through the liner sleeves to prevent any unintentional tears. Make sure the retainer wall strap’s welding seam faces the ground.

When the frame for the rectangular frame pool is completely assembled, pull it so that the bottom liner is taut. You can now fill the pool with water. Each pool takes a specific amount of water:

18 by 9 foot model takes 4,545 gallons
24 by 12 foot model takes 8,403 gallons
32 by 16 foot model takes 14,364 gallons

It’s recommended to hire a water delivery service for the pool filing due to the tremendous capacity of the rectangular frame pool systems.
