In the early 1930s, The Kärcher Company, with its young leader at the helm, specialized in the design of industrial submersible heating elements that led to the development and production of the first hardening furnace for alloys, the "Karcher Salt-Bath Furnace." A decade and a half later, in 1950, Karcher patented Europe's first pressure washer, the KW 350, and the company has been leading the industry in the development, manufacture and distribution of high-pressure cleaners and steam heat systems ever since.
