Youth Summer Camps – Football and Hockey Youth Camps
When selecting a summer youth camp, take into consideration your child's temperament, interests and maturity level.
A shy youngster may need support from familiar faces to adjust well at camp, while a more outgoing child might breeze right through the experience. If your son or daughter is on the reserved side, seize any opportunity to visit the camp with your youngster in tow, giving her the chance to familiarize herself with the people and place before she enrolls.
Also consider your child's interests and needs when choosing a youth camp. You will find a wide array of specialty camps centered on sports, technology, academics, performing arts, and more. Children with ADHD will benefit from a camp that offers an assortment of structured activities. Camps for children with physical needs promise a fun, safe and nurturing environment away from home. To help your child explore and develop personal interests, select a program that allows him to choose from a broad range of activities.
Will your son or daughter be more comfortable at an all-boy or all-girl camp? Or will a co-ed environment address some of his or social skills that may need honing.
