About the Author

Richard Tomanelli, Ph.D. has been a practicing psychologist in Greenwich, Connecticut for almost thirty years. His office practice specializes in the treatment of emotional and addictive disorders in adults and adolescents.

Dr. Tomanelli was also a senior clinical consultant at the Vitam Center, an adolescent residential treatment center in Norwalk, Connecticut for eighteen years, chief psychologist at the Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center in Stamford, Connecticut, and Coordinator of Emergency Services at the Orange County Community Mental Health Center in Goshen, New York.

He has recently become a member of the Selectman's Committee on Teen Alcohol and Drug Abuse in Madison, Connecticut.
