CompTIA A+ certification Exams

The CompTIA A+ certification is one of the most sought after credentialing exams within the IT industry.  In order to become a certified, candidates must demonstrate technical proficiency through passing a number of operating system exams as well as elective courses of a very technical nature.

An a certified IT professional is able to plan the design, manage the installation and configure fully operational systems including the various applications software programs that will run on the system.  Beyond system specifications and initial set up, responsibilities for the IT candidate include knowledge on optimizing the operating system, monitoring system performance plus anticipating and supervising the process of installing upgrades and/or system enhancements from time to time.  In order to achieve certification in a particular operating system, the IT candidate may expect four or more core exams along with two-three elective courses, all of which must be passed before credentialing is awarded.

IT professionals considering qualifications upgrade can include network administrators, webmasters, email administrators, network and system engineers, operating system managers (e.g. such as Novell or Microsoft, Cisco or CompTIA and others), and security analysts.  In order to create optimal conditions for you're CompTIA A+ certification exam, you should consider that pre-requisite experience such as a minimum of one year in implementing and managing a network operating system, management of desk top operating systems along with some period of design work related to network architecture creates the more ideal experience platform from which to move onwards to CompTIA A+ certification training.  In point of fact, your training and preparation could well replicate the 360+hours of training estimated by Microsoft Certified Professionals Magazine as necessary to prepare for Microsoft's operating system performance exam.  Pick your operating system and you may well find similar requirements in terms of your time investment, along with professional experience base.  Hands on experience is what you're seeking in order to qualify for additional certification and additional financial benefits and long term career security.

While free CompTIA A+ certification questions and answers exist from selected sources, which may include books or certain online web source sites, many IT professionals prefer the intensive no-holds-barred approach of off site boot camps.  The core advantages of a boot camp are that you're free from the distractions of work and home life and able to concentrate 100% on the CompTIA A+ certification training offered by skilled teachers.  Many focused exam drills plus ongoing access to relevant operating systems and equipment found in the "real world".  The atmosphere is special purpose and intensive, and according to market data results in high levels of testing success by boot camp trainees once they sit down for their CompTIA A+ certification exam.  During the boot camp, IT trainees experience both the standard training regimen but also secure access to the trainers and equipment in after hours sessions designed to continue the hands on experience necessary to successfully complete an CompTIA A+ certification online or in situ test.

Course materials offered by the boot camps generally are readable and are supported closely by the pacing or delivery of the course materials.  Additionally, slides and visual presentations support the lectures along with many work-study handbooks and related training materials.  Lab work is where theory converts to hands on practice which is the knowledge investment driving these boot camp attendees.  Not surprisingly a large majority of boot camper report that pre-exam coaching and prep sessions were invaluable to preparing for a successful CompTIA A+ certification course exam, whether practice or final.

Market data suggests that boot camps are considered valuable, albeit expensive with half the attendees indicating their willingness to pay the costs but more than half would attend if they received some form of corporate sponsorship.  Passing or CompTIA A+ certification exam test success rates by boot campers tracks at 80%+, thus underscoring the bottom line benefit and role of the boot camp to IT career oriented professionals.  Boot camps run long training days, 9 - 10 hours daily inclusive of break out sessions and lab time.  Boot camps are not set up to mollycoddle attendees nor provide "down time" entertainment or gratuitous activities other than the proscribed class room sessions.

Unsurprisingly, the largest demographic of boot camper comes from the 35-50 age segment, reflecting more established life styles and professional track.  Generally, the market data shows that boot campers out-perform non-campers by 5% - 10% or more in terms of overall success rate, thus establishing or reconfirming the correlation between your investment in a boot camp and the desired outcome of gaining the next level of CompTIA A+ certification training level acknowledgment by the sponsor firm.  However, the market data can be probed deeper to reveal that a significant super majority of over 90% of boot campers already possess at least one certification level, with different sub groups possessing as much as three certifications, where fully 35% of the non camper pool possess no certification whatsoever.  Message here is that boot camp attracts experienced professionals who recognize the role of market training, and move aggressively towards the fulfillment of their IT goals by proactively pursuing CompTIA A+ certification brain dumps experience at the boot camp rather than leave their career growth to chance.
