Praktica is a German camera manufacturer. In sports optics – not their principal business – they offer a selection of low-cost binoculars and a couple of spotting scopes.

Praktica binoculars feature multi-coated optics on the better models. Praktica offers several zoom models, up to 8 – 24x30 and 8–20x50 (and spotting scopes up to 20–60x70). They have several pocket-size models. One features a built-in compass. Others have a digital LCD with date and time, stopwatch, and temperature functions. Praktica has both standard (Porro prism) and compact (roof prism) designs in a variety of sizes.

One unusual model is a pair of opera glasses with a classic Victorian-era shape but clean, modern black and gold surface motif. At just 3x magnification, it's one of the weakest binoculars on the market; but this gives you the advantage that you can use it to see the stage a bit more clearly without being distracted by the star's nose hairs.
